One of the recurrent problems in industries, households, municipalities and restaurants is the clogging of drains and pipes. Several waste residues like chemicals, chunks and dirt accumulate in the pipes thereby blocking the entry or exit of water through it. This clogging might spoil the complete drainage system. If care is not taken at this stage, the wastes soon begin to decompose giving out a foul smell thereby attracting innumerable parasites that can wreak havoc on your health and hygiene. There is different type of sewer cleaning equipment that you can use. In order to resume the flow of water through these pipes you need to carry out sewer drain jetting process.
Sewer drain jetting process usually involves cleaning the drain or pipe by jetting water through it at high pressures. This process saves you a lot of money because you need not replace the drain or pipe with a new one given to its non-functional status. The drain can regain its functions once the clogged materials are cleared up through sewer drain jetting.
Most of the materials that general clog the drain are food particles, solid chunks, hair, grease, soap residues and much more. Simple pumping operations do not help to clean up such dirt. However, with the help of water jetted at high pressures, these waste materials are forced out of the drains and pipes.
Sewer drain jetting can be carried out with the help of specialized pressure washers called “sewer jetters” that are particularly used for cleaning drains and pipes. These jetters can clean both long and short pipes with equivalent ease. High pressures in the range of 3-20GPM and 2500-4000psi enable the sewer jetters to clean the clogged debris in the drains with amazing ease. The high pressures for sewer drain jetting can be varied depending upon the type of material the drain or pipe is made up of and the length of the drain or pipe as well as the distance at which the clogging has occurred.
You can either use electric, gasoline or pulsating drain cleaners in order to carry out sewer drain jetting. The electric sewer jetters work at typical pressures from 1000-1450psi at 2GPM. These jetters weight almost 140lbs. The gasoline sewer jetters need 2400-2700psi pressure at 3 for carrying out sewer drain jetting. At 140lbs, these weigh lesser than the electric jetters. Weighing 150lbs, the heaviest of sewer jetters, pulsating drain jetter operates at a pressure ranging from 3200-4000psi at 3-4GPM. The high pressures for carrying out sewer drain jetting can be adjusted in sewer jetters mentioned above.
State of art pressure washers with specialized nozzles can work their way down the pipe and cut and loosen up the clogged material by ejecting water at high pressure. Once the waste materials lose contact with the drain or pipe, they can be sucked out by a vacuum pump. These specialized nozzles can be either laser nozzles, corner nozzles, ram nozzles, rotating nozzles or microdrain jetter nozzles. Depending upon the diameter of the pipes, you need to use different sewer jetter hoses for carrying out sewer drain jetting process.
With the help of pressure washers, you do not have to wait for plumbers for carrying out sewer drain jetting any longer to clean the pipes!
